Luke Overin was born in Margate in the United Kingdom, he received his B.A. from Kingston University.
Overin exhibits regularly in South London, utilising DIY or unconventional spaces as well as fine art galleries. Within his work he explores tradition, ritual and nostalgia. He is a regular contributor to VICE UK, as well as co-organising and presenting public workshops, often specialising in silk screen printing; these events have taken place at the V&A, Tate Britain, ICA and House of Vans amongst others.
In recent years Luke has had his work published by Cafe Royal Books, his title ‘King of Grey’ was inducted into the Tate Gallery Publications Collection, his book ‘Car Park Shopper‘ was released in 2015 by Bronze Age Editions and, in 2016, Snoar Press published his newest publication ‘Night Time Surfacing‘.
